As a wrestling coach, your role doesn’t end at the edge of the mat. Whether you’re guiding

first-year competitors or seasoned athletes, being organized and informed on competition day can make or break your wrestler’s experience. That’s where Trackcast, the live scoring and bout tracking feature within Trackwrestling, becomes a game-changing tool.
For coaches new to this system, Trackcast can feel overwhelming at first. But once you understand how to use it effectively, it becomes one of your strongest allies on tournament day. This blog will walk you through what Trackcast is, how it works, and how to use it confidently to help your team succeed.
What Is Trackcast?
Trackcast is the live mat-side scoring and tournament control tool that allows tournament operators to run events digitally. But for coaches, it’s also the real-time dashboard for keeping track of bout numbers, mat assignments, match times, and updated brackets—right from your phone, tablet, or computer.
Instead of running back and forth between brackets posted on the wall or guessing when a wrestler’s next match is, you’ll have access to the latest information right in your hands.
Getting Started with Trackcast
To use Trackcast effectively, you’ll need internet access, either through Wi-Fi or cellular data, and a device like a smartphone or tablet. You do not need a separate login if you’re already registered as a coach through Trackwrestling. You simply:
- Go to trackwrestling.com
- Click on “Browse” > “Tournaments”
- Find your event and click the Trackcast link (usually on the event’s landing page)
Once inside, you can access all live mat feeds, match updates, and scoring updates in real time.
Using Trackcast During the Tournament

Trackcast helps you stay organized during a fast-paced tournament day by offering:
- Mat Assignments: Know exactly where and when each of your athletes will wrestle, so you can warm them up accordingly and avoid missed bouts.
- Bout Numbers: Each match is assigned a bout number. Trackcast tells you when that bout is being called and on which mat.
- Match Results: Follow win/loss results and bracket advancement immediately after matches conclude, without waiting for manual updates.
- Match Timers: Some events display live scoring and countdown clocks on Trackcast, so you can follow along if you're coaching from across the room or preparing another athlete.
- Brackets and Team Scores: View updated brackets and how your team is doing in real time.
All of this helps you reduce confusion and spend more time coaching, and less time chasing down information.
Coach-Specific Tips for Trackcast
- Refresh Often: Trackcast does not auto-refresh in most browsers. You need to manually refresh every few minutes to get the latest bout numbers and mat assignments.
- Color Code Your Team: On your roster, mark your athletes’ names with highlighters or initials. This helps you scan quickly for who’s up next without getting lost in a sea of entries.
- Plan Around Wait Times: Use Trackcast to estimate breaks in the schedule. If you see there’s a long gap before your wrestler’s next bout, plan rest, meals, or strategy sessions accordingly.
- Use Multiple Devices if Needed: Some coaches use a phone for mat-side live updates and a tablet or laptop in the stands for bracket tracking. It’s not required, but it helps if you’re juggling multiple age groups or divisions.
Track Cast is Important
Trackcast is more than just a digital tool, it’s a coach’s playbook on tournament day. It saves time, improves communication, and keeps your team one step ahead of the chaos that often comes with long, multi-mat wrestling events.
When you learn how to use Trackcast with confidence, you show your athletes that their preparation matters, and that you're just as ready to compete as they are. It’s one more way to lead from the front, stay organized, and make sure no match, or wrestler, gets left behind.
